1,500 more housing societies to get developed under Self Redevelopment Scheme- Piyush Goyal
CM Devendra Fadnavis Inaugurates Charkop Shwetambara Self-Redevelopment Project
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today inaugurated the Charkop Shwetambara Self-Redevelopment Project, a significant step towards empowering residents with self-sustained housing solutions. The project, supported by Mumbai District Central Co-operative Bank, aims to provide permanent housing to the common citizens, freeing them from builder exploitation.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized the importance of self-redevelopment, stating, “People must take charge of their own future. The days of builder exploitation are over. In North Mumbai alone, 15 societies have already been redeveloped, and soon, 1,500 more will follow. The central government is fully committed to supporting such initiatives.”
Maharashtra’s Infrastructure Development on a Historic Path
Praising Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ leadership, Goyal stated that his contributions to Maharashtra’s infrastructure development will be remembered in history.
He also reaffirmed the Mahayuti government’s commitment to accelerated progress, saying, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Housing for All’ is now taking shape. The upcoming Triple Engine government will work even faster to ensure a better and brighter future for all.”
Key Development Announcements
Goyal highlighted several major infrastructure projects aimed at transforming North Mumbai:
- A 1,000-bed hospital is under construction in Magathane.
