Customers these days are smart enough to opt for the most technologically advanced machine, which makes their work flow efficient. A technologically sound product determines the trends of the market, the machine’s speed and multi – applications makes the machine a good investment for them. Technological elements like Virtual Reality, AI security and BIM are making a major impact on construction equipment productivity and efficiency. For example – Eagle eye Telematics which we use in our products provides a GPS based system which keeps track of the machine with the help of a unique feature called Geo – fencing. Hence, we can expect to see more of such innovations and solutions in the industry this year.

After the Budget 2020 announcement, we can understand that to revive the economy, the government has put more focus on investing in infrastructure and construction due to the multiplier effect the construction sector has on the economy. These initiatives are expected to give a major boost to economic growth.

Tell us about your business details, as India’s leading company dealing in the products of construction machinery.

CASE Construction Equipment is a brand of CNH Industrial N.V., a global leader in the capital goods sector that, through its various businesses, designs, produces and sells agricultural and construction equipment, trucks, commercial vehicles, buses and specialty vehicles, in addition to a broad portfolio of powertrain applications. Across its 12 brands, 66 manufacturing plants, 54 research and development centers and a workforce of more than 64,000 people, CNH Industrial is present in 180 countries giving it a unique competitive position.
CASE Construction is present in India since 1989, as a technology provider, then as a joint venture partner of an Indian company, and finally as a wholly owned subsidiary of CNH Industrial. CASE India has consistently remained a market leader in the Vibratory Compactor segment and the only company to have sold over 15,000 units in India. With more than 33,000 Loader Backhoes and 450 Motor Graders sold in the country, CASE India is a Top Tier player in these product segments. What are your latest products and describe the innovations behind them?
CASE India launched its first ever excavator CHEX 220C LC IN in the biggest construction equipment event-Excon 2019 in December. Our CHEX 220C excavator is specially designed for the Indian terrain. It develops a gross power of 117 KW (157 hp) and peak torque of 622 Nm at 1800rpm.

What is your view on the new government policies and reforms to develop the field of infrastructure, and how will these impact the industry of construction machinery?
The Budget 2020, has outlined a roadmap for the development of infrastructure and construction sector. The keen focus on the highway projects and monetization of the highway bundles provides a lot of chances to the stakeholders to make the most of this year with the given opportunities. We expect these steps to create better opportunities for the CE segment.
