Ambuja Cements clinched the coveted Gold Award for ensuring water security through sustainable management. The award underscores its commitment to sustainable water management through recycling, reuse of treated water, developing innovative solutions that consume less water in curing and concrete mix preparation, and by conservation efforts like rainwater harvesting, building check dams, and groundwater recharge. Ambuja Cements continues to set benchmarks in water conservation, solidifying its position as a frontrunner in sustainable practices and achieving an impressive 8 times water positivity status.
The company also clinched the Silver Award for its plastic waste co-processing initiatives. By utilizing plastic waste as a fuel source in its kilns, it achieved a remarkable 6x plastic negative status, significantly contributing to the reduction of waste and championing environmental cleanliness. This reaffirms the company’s dedication and endeavors towards building a healthier and more sustainable planet for future generations.
