Jindal Stainless’ Jajpur unit recognised as Top Performer in the ‘Iron and Steel’ category at the Odisha State Energy Conservation Awards 2025

Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, has been recognised as a ‘Top Performer’ in the ‘Iron and Steel’ category at the Odisha State Energy Conservation Awards 2025 for its Jajpur unit, underscoring the company’s leadership in energy conservation and efficiency.

The Jajpur, Odisha unit received this recognition for the first time, reflecting Jindal Stainless’ continued commitment to energy-efficient practices and its efforts to set benchmarks in sustainable and responsible manufacturing. The award was presented to the Jajpur team by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Odisha, Mr. Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. Other dignitaries present included Mr. Vishal Kumar Dey, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, and Mr. Manoj Kumar Tripathy, EIC (Electricity)-cum-PCEI, Odisha.

Speaking on this achievement, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, said, Responsible manufacturing is no longer optional; it is imperative in the environment we operate in today. It is a testament to the organisation’s structured energy management efforts, and provides a strong foundation to further accelerate our efficiency and operational excellence journey.”

Organised by the Government of Odisha on National Energy Conservation Day, the Odisha State Energy Conservation Award is a prestigious honour recognising organisations that make outstanding contributions to energy conservation and efficiency across various industrial sectors. This year, awards were presented across multiple categories, with Jindal Stainless emerging as a top contributor in energy conservation and efficiency in the ‘Iron & Steel’ category.

The recognition further reinforces Jindal Stainless’ position as a frontrunner in environmentally responsible practices. Earlier this year, the company’s Hisar and Jajpur units secured top honours at the 26th edition of CII National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management 2025, along with multiple awards at the CII National Energy Efficiency Circle Competition 2025.
