Looking back to past generally we have more than 50 years of experiences where our roots are from family owned company established 1965.

Our clients are architects – looking for freedom in design, construction companies willing to gain reliability, safety and speed as well structural designers, precast, flooring specialists, developers/investors and Energy Industry specialist.

We have the ability to make impact on the society – in a manner and to a level never previously even considered. Sustainability in construction, low energy building, fire and life safety as well commissioning are leasing trends and areas of focus in the building industry.

Sustainability and circular economy are becoming strong tendencies. Difficulty will be in implementing these ideologies on the existing construction methods. The building industry is responsible for major societal impact, with 40% of total energy use and 30% of the global amount of waste. The concrete business has a particularly great responsibility as we account for a large proportion of this. That is why now have chosen to focus on the environment by converting our Precast connections and company strategy to the Circular Economy. We want the building industry to be part of the solution and not the problem.

 Give us a few of your expansion and growth plan details for the near future, especially for the on-going year-2018.

Our pipeline span projects across the residential, commercial, hospitality as well oil & gas sector. We are expecting to be significant partner in more key projects with planned annual growth more than 10% by 2018.One of Peikko’s best known products, DELTABEAM®, creates flexible and open spaces that enable the changing of layout and even the purpose of a building during its lifespan. This can, actually, even extend the building’s lifespan.” PEIKKO was the first to make extensive research and produced a SYSTEM for continuation of vertical structural elements.

In case of Precast connections, the main advantage of Peikko system (with proven preservation of the capacity and safety) is that temporary supports are no longer needed and bringing into designed position is very simple and fast. It is no longer necessary to wait for the injection material to get hardened, but it is almost immediately possible to continue building (erection) of the next structural elements.

Comment on the current market scenario with regards to influencing the lifestyle needs of the customers.

We are aware of impact and pressure in construction market, late payments and facing of increased overseas, competition challenges. In short, looking back it was a quiet time for all of us in Peikko. We have been through many development and we`ve proved our self to be important partner in remarkable projects.

When you work in the construction industry, you see evidence of your job every day, from the project you worked last, to the project you are trusting to get next. For us it is our favourite part to create and make our customers success and ambitions to happen.

How are you positioned in the minds of your audience, in terms of your core business strengths and values?

The Strength of Peikko is that we have key points as strong technical and strong global presence on the construction market. Peikko has a strong focus on R&D. Peikko has introduced many new and innovative solutions to the markets, which, in time, have formed the way of constructing. A good example of such a solution is the column connection made using column shoes and anchor bolts. Peikko actively participates in standardization work and large international research projects. Cooperation is made with leading research institutes.
