Saint-Gobain India wins the United States Green Building Council Leadership award 2018
Saint-Gobain, the world leader in habitat and glass manufacturing solutions, recently announced its win at the prestigious Greenbuild India Closing Plenary organised by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This award recognizes the initiatives of Saint-Gobain, India for focusing on sustainability as its driving force for everything that it does. At Saint-Gobain, Sustainability is a philosophy that is visible in across facets such as product & solutions, manufacturing processes, downstream logistics activities, skill & talent development and local community development.
Speaking on the win, Mr. A.R. Unnikrishnan, Director Sales & Marketing, Saint-Gobain India Pvt Ltd- Flat Glass Business, said, “All of us at Saint-Gobain India are thrilled and proud to have received this honour from USGBC. It is humbling that our efforts towards sustainability have been recognised by a global platform. The United States Green Building Council was institutionalized in 1993 by the American Institute of Architects to recognize and promote the sustainability-focused building practices. For the award, the companies are evaluated as per the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. This award individually helps organizations strive for sustainability while using the state of the art technology and unified workforce towards a cohesive goal.
