The MahaMetro has started the survey for Pune Metro
The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (MahaMetro) has initiated a baseline survey of properties, including homes, slums and shops, which will be demolished since they fall on Metro route.
As many as 688 properties have been identified at various locations so far. Of these, the MahaMetro officials have surveyed 396 properties and there is a plan to complete the survey of the remaining properties in the next one month.
The authorities have said they have still not decided on rehabilitation package. “We are still at the preliminary level of survey. A decision on the rehabilitation and relocation will come later. As of now, the thrust is on gathering every detail of property located in the alignment of Metro route,” the authorities added.
The MahaMetro has also said the civil work on both corridors was in progress as per the schedule. In the first phase, the work on PCMC to Range Hills was started, followed by the civil work on Vanaz to Civil Court route.
