To initiate, could you tell us on your preparations at the Bauma Conexpo 2018 and the expectations that you have from this mega platform?

At Bauma Conexpo India 2018, our main objective is to expand our product base. We want to showcase our new products here at this mega event, especially we want to showcase our heavy line products. We also wish to introduce our new technology, such as remote management assistance.

How the year 2018 has been for you, irrespective of the fact that financial year closing is going to happen in the year 2019. So, describe your overall experience till now, as the current calendar year is closing by the end of December 2018?

As we work on calendar year, I’ll briefly describe our experience when 2018 is about to end. The growth of the sales and the market so far is good but there are challenges like cost and pricing. As the cost of dollar is fluctuating recently, our imports have become very costly. Secondly, we also have to take into consideration the prices of the commodities cost in India, such as steel  etc.

However, the year has been good in terms of growth and we have grown our market share. We have been in second position in the industry and are consolidating those gains to achieve the number one position in the industry.

Share something about your displays at this here at Bauma Conexpo 2018?

We are showcasing a wide excavator range this time. In addition to it, we have our new wheel loader that was launched here. We are also looking forward to bring new features and innovations with these products and make an impact into the Indian wheel loader industry.

With the government coming up with many reforms for the infrastructure sector, how far do you think that you will be able to take the benefit of this supportive scenario?

We are part of ‘Make In India’ and ‘Skill India’, which are two prominent flagship programs of the government of India. We manufacture equipment at our plant in Pune and we are both increasing the capacity as well as modernizing the products. Right now, our installed capacity is 6000 units and we are increasing it further 10,000 units per annum.

How do you view the current market trends, for example are they positive or negative, and based on your view, what is your combat strategy to counter the prevalent market trends?

The trends are definitely looking very positive. The projects are sufficient to keep the sales going on a good level.

Is business affecting trends or trends affecting business, kindly comment?

I would say that the term is inter-linked. For example, sometimes the trends affects the market and many times business leaves an impact on the trends. So there is no clear answer for this question. For example sometimes the customers’ choices is one trend which affects the business norms and conditions. Now when the new government norms are going to hit the market, they are going to set a new trend to which would affect the business practices.
