ULCCS Expands into Green Energy, Electrical Engineering and Interior Solutions with the launch of two brands – UL Actant & UL N’Shore

~New ventures target ₹4000 crore revenue and 3,500 jobs over 10 years~

Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) announced the launch of two new brands, UL Actant (for electrical engineering services) and UL N’Shore (for interior designing and execution services), as part of a strategic expansion into electrical engineering, renewable energy and premium interior solutions.

The two brands together are projected to generate ₹ 4000 crore in revenue over the next decade and create around 3,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The launch builds on the momentum created by U-Sphere, the forward-looking EPC brand introduced in February 2025 as part of ULCCS’s centenary celebrations, which integrates design, engineering and construction under a unified infrastructure solutions framework.

Remeshan Palery, Chairman of ULCCS, said, “The two ventures are expected to create 3,500 employment opportunities within ten years and are targeting a turnover of ₹4,000 crore, with plans already formulated to achieve these goals. “When employment and income were denied in the name of social discrimination, the daily wage workers of Uralungal challenged it by forming a society to secure work and livelihood. The new ventures are a continuation of the efforts being undertaken in the new era to develop new employment sectors,” he said.

UL Actant aims to achieve ₹2,000 crore in revenue and create approximately 1,500 jobs over the next ten years, operating as a full-spectrum electrical engineering and green energy solutions provider with services like electrical control systems, Extra Low Voltage (ELV) infrastructure, automatic traffic management systems, CCTV surveillance networks and data connectivity solutions. The venture will also focus on renewable energy initiatives such as solar installations and will establish an energy meter testing and calibration unit with NABL accreditation

UL Actant plans to achieve significant progress by 2035 in growing sectors such as green hydrogen, wind energy, solar energy, small-scale hydropower projects, pumped storage works, and battery energy storage (BES). The unit enjoys empanelment accreditation from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and ANERT thanks to its experience in executing EHT and HT electrical works and holds an A-class contractor’s licence. The Energy Management Centre has also empanelled the unit for IBESS projects.

UL N’Shore will specialise in premium interior design and turnkey fit-out solutions for residential, commercial and institutional spaces. With a focus on sustainable and biophilic design concepts, the venture will offer modular furniture design and manufacturing, integrated interior design services and complete office fit-out solutions for government and private sector clients.

Leveraging ULCCS’ modular manufacturing unit, workshops, foundries, other modern production facilities, technology-driven operational systems, and strategic partnerships, this brand is projected to generate ₹2,000 crore in revenue and create around 2,000 employment opportunities over the next decade.

The two new brandsUL Actant and UL N’Shore – represent ULCCS’ forward-thinking vision as it forays into emerging sectors such as green energy, advanced electrical systems and premium interior design.
