Ammann India Rolls Out 2,500th Compactor; Exports account for close to half of the production
• Over 1,000 compactors exported to 55 countries between 2021 and 2026, about 40% of the plant’s output in that period • Ammann Group targets doubling of sales over the next five years, with India as a key manufacturing base

Ammann India has rolled out its 2,500th compactor since commencing production in 2016, marking a significant milestone in its manufacturing journey and reinforcing India’s position as an important base within Ammann Group’s global manufacturing network. The milestone unit is an ARS 170.1 Soil Compactor with Cabin, compliant with T3 emission norms.
Over the past decade, Ammann India has strengthened its manufacturing capabilities to serve both domestic and international markets. With an annual production capacity of 500 compactors, the facility has continued to build its capabilities through continuous improvements in both production systems and quality assurance, supporting the company’s broader global growth strategy.
India’s contribution to Ammann’s international operations is reflected in its export performance. Between 2021 and 2026, the company exported over 1,000 compactors to markets across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe, demonstrating its ability to meet diverse customer requirements across geographies.

Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Tomáš Kopic, Senior Vice President, Machines, Ammann Group, said, “India is an increasingly important part of Ammann’s global manufacturing network. The quality of compactors manufactured here is comparable to those produced in Europe, reflecting our confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities. With over 1,000 units exported between 2021 and 2026, India is well positioned to support our global growth ambitions. We expect to double sales over the next five years, building on this strong foundation.”
Mr. Dheeraj Panda, Managing Director, Ammann India, said, “Localising manufacturing while keeping global technology at its heart has always been our vision. Rolling out our 2,500th ‘Made in India’ compactor, with nearly every second unit going overseas, shows that we can serve customers across 55 countries to global standards. In our next phase, we will focus on consistent quality, stronger after-sales service and growing our share in both domestic and export markets.”

The milestone recognises the contribution of Ammann India’s employees, engineers, production teams and quality professionals, whose work has supported the company’s manufacturing journey. Looking ahead, Ammann India aims to build on this foundation to increase the sales to 5000 compactors by the year 2031, further strengthening India’s contribution to the Group’s global operations.
