In recent times there has been a significant push from the government in the infrastructure and housing sector as seen in the interim Budget 2019. From roadways, railways to airports and other smart-city initiatives, the last few years have witnessed a phenomenal growth in the sector, leading to world-class facilities coming up across the country. With mention of flagship schemes like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) amongst others, the government reiterated its continued thrust and commitment to these programs. However, except the housing sector where direct and indirect fiscal benefits are likely to lead to real growth, the interim budget did not delve much into direct or indirect increase in allocation or investments in other sectors. Against this landscape, we at UBM India firmly believe that The Concrete Show India 2019 will prove to be a channel to the opportunities existing in India’s rapidly growing concrete market.
Concrete Show India is being organised at a time when the infrastructure sector is enjoying continued focus from the Government with it initiating policies that aim to ensure time-bound creation of world class infrastructure in the country.
The event has been well-received by the industry with support from key organisations and Associations such as Tunnelling Association of India (TAI), Ready Mixed Concrete Manufacturers’ Association (RMCMA), The American Concrete Institute (ACI), The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) to name a few.
