The government’s decision to raise the income tax exemption limit to ₹12 lakh will provide individuals with higher disposable income, significantly boosting their spending power. This change will not only enable people to better manage higher EMIs but will also help those who were previously unable to afford their dream homes. This will create a positive impact on the affordable housing sector, encouraging more homebuyers to enter the market.

In addition, the introduction of the National Geospatial Mission in the Budget 2025-26 will play a crucial role in modernizing land records and enhancing urban planning across India which will in turn significantly impact various sectors, particularly in urban development and land management.

The announcement by the government in this budget to address land approvals and liquidity challenges will also help in creating new opportunities for homebuyers, particularly in metro cities, with 40,000 more units expected to be completed in 2025, offering a brighter future for middle-class families and driving growth in the housing sector.”
