VERSATALITY IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS

 

  1. Share with us your analytical views on the industry market, estimating the relative growth and demand potentials.

Slowly been picking up as far as construction equipment is concerned. Lot of infra projects are coming up but effect is yet to be seen. Lot of excavators have been sold. Increase in market for cranes and due to lot of road projects are coming up which were later underfunded have now got the funds to buy more compactors and motor graders. Real estate is stagnant especially in north India. There is a major cash crunch in Noida etc. and possible homeowners are scared to invest in these new real estate buildings. Road, dam holistically infra is experiencing a relative growth and the demand for infra assisting equipments is on the rise. In government sector, the competition is tough however we have provided many cranes to them and now have a steady understanding of price structures that they follow. Have to constantly monitor the market and see what is acceptable.

  1. Tell us about your recent recognized and on-going mega product innovations with the driving ideas to design them with their special features / views on the current promising trends of the Industry.

Rotating hook & remote monitoring software installed in our cranes. We keep on trying to improve our equipments by adding a VFD to our flagship SP-453 to smoothen out the hoisting procedure. We are adding a lot of value to our cranes by giving Anti-Skew & Anti-Sway features in our EOT cranes which will help in its smooth operation. We customize our tower cranes to suit the customer’s requirement which most of our competitors do not do. This helps in the customer saving critical time on the field & minimum breakdown time. Automation is the future and we have just started to scratch that surface. Many private industries now need very specific movement of cranes due to space constraints, time constraints etc. and by automating the cranes, they ensure that they use the crane to its maximum potential.

  1. What is your business plan, in terms of expansion and development, for the progressive year-2018?

In regards to service & spare parts business, we have set ourselves to do 20% more of what we did last year. In terms of sales, we expect to grow by 50% as the market is forecasting some good growth in the construction sector. To do this, we plan on hiring more dealers across India so that our products gain more recognition in parts it has none. Rigorous campaigning in parts needs to be done to reach and educate the customer about our product. We recently bagged prestigious orders from NCC, AFCONS & Simplex that add on to our strong portfolio. We are now reaching out to more such infrastructure customers to broaden our portfolio.

  1. Is there is something you would like to share with your audience at large, as in discussing your trade principals and motives?

Our trade principal is clear, we don’t compromise on our manufacturing standards and follow the norms & processes strictly. That is yielding Alpha Services many repeated orders. Our motive is to give the customer the best possible product & service and make Alpha a one stop shop for all their construction needs. Prompt & efficient response to customer orders, queries and concerns should be addressed truthfully. If any equipment is under breakdown than we try to put ourselves in the customer’s position & do the best we can for them. We are always ready to compromise if the customer is suffering provided the reason is justified. However, profit margins should never be compromised unless the customer has an. lastly, we keep a strict vigilance on the contribution of our products & always try to keep the cost to a minimum through logistical & supply chain control.
